Welcome and thank you for visiting my web site!
I am a Professor of Comparative Politics in the Department of Politics and International Relations, Oxford University, and a Fellow of Nuffield College.
My research and teaching interests include comparative political economy, the politics of industrialized democracies and comparative methods.
My work can be divided into three main areas of interest: insider-outsider politics, the determinants and consequences of inequality, and the politics of the welfare state and of labor market institutions.
